Well this week went pretty quick! First up, it was great to be able to skype home for the last time! And have Nanna and Papa Bur and Nanna Winfield there.
Monday we had kind of a slack day just sitting around the apartment, we had to fix the printer and do another couple of things, we had a meat platter from Kod Muje which was great! We also checked out the castle here, it was just like any other castle I have ever seen but yeah it was still cool.
Tuesday was the start of our exchange with Tuzla, we drove up to Doboj which is a place about half way between Tuzla and Banja Luka, after that Elder Hardy and I continued on to Tuzla! We got there just in time for english, I taught the beginner class there with Elder Roberts who was my comp a couple of transfers ago, it's funny to see how things don't change a heck of a lot but at the same time they do... can't explain that... after english we had dinner back at the apartment and that was about all we had time for.
Wednesday was a pretty busy day, we had a lesson with on of the people that they are working with in Tuzla, they are trying to get him to quit smoking through the 12 week program and then he said he would get baptised so I hope that continues to go well he is a good guy! After that we went and visited a member, he is funny, that went well though, after that it was district meeting. We then moved on to diner which was at this place that did good chicken and lepinja, after that we had Toastmasters which is this public speaking group kind of thing and we correct them on their English and they correct us on our Serbian, so they ask a question on the spot and you have 2 minutes to answer, mine was "Why is Australian Football better than American Football" it was an easy answer... but yeah anyways in short, at the end they vote who's speeches were the best (usually meaning the most funny) but yeah I won! not that it really means anything, but you know I don't like to lose :P after that we had to book it back to the apartment as it was like 9:20.
Thursday we had to leave early so we could switch back in time for english. We got back and did some language practice with the other elders then we went out for lunch and got some cevapi. After that it was english class which was nice. We had some clerk things to do after that which was annoying but what can you do...
Friday was a normal day, we had district meeting as we had to postpone it from our usual Tuesdays but that was fun, after that it was contacting and just normal work, I had a random urge to make pavlova for Institute because the Senior couple wasn't going to be there so I did that, it actually turned out pretty good, the members loved it and one of them bought me 15 eggs to make triple the recipe for next institute haha so I guess we will see about that!
Saturday was pretty boring... just the usual, contacting and contacting! we had to clean the church as well which was just as usual, also our microwave broke... so yeah that kind of sucks. Apart from that nothing really special happened it was just a normal day.
Sunday was church as usual, one of the members didn't show up who was supposed to teach Sunday school so I had to do it again, I think this is like 4 times since I have been here, that's alright not its not too big a problem. After church I skyped home! That was fun to see everyone, seems like most things are the same, I really don't remember what they were like before but that's alright. After the skype we had lunch at like 5 o'clock... I was so hungry.. and our microwave was broken so we couldn't defrost the chick we had... it was a mess so I tried to fix the microwave... we kind of fixed it but I don't know how safe the microwave is now :/ we will get a new one soon hopefully!
So yeah that was about the week... this week should be fun, we are going on an exchange with the other Tuzla elders so Roberts my old comp will come here to Banja Luka with me so that will be fun just like old times!
